LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Emma Stone battles tears and a ripped dress as she accepts the Best Actress Oscar for 'Poor Things' on March 10. Emma won the Best Actress Oscar for 'Poor Things', her second in seven years. “My dress is broken. I think it happened during ‘I’m Just Ken,” Emma said while receiving the award.

On X, users quipped, "Very good #oscars night for Louis Vuitton, between the wins of Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Emma Stone, though less good moment when Emma Stone’s dress split." Another person chimed in, "Emma Stone wins Best Actress for POOR THINGS, and I don't know if it's because her dress broke or because she knows the discourse around this moment is going to be terrible, but she seemed less than pumped about it." 

One user noted, "Of course Queen's dress is broken when she wins an #Oscars She couldn't be more on brand. Yesss Emma." A fourth user wrote, "Emma's dress broke during I'm Just Ken performance? another iconic moment." 

Some tweeted, "Emma wears Louis Vuitton for the dress. Let’s send an email complain to Nicolas." Another user complained, "Louis Vuitton seamstresses what is this? Emma’s dress tearing tsk tsk tsk." 

“The other night, I was panicking, as you can kind of see, happens a lot — that maybe something like this could happen, and Yorgos [Lanthimos] said to me, please take yourself out of it,” Emma continued.

“And he was right, because it’s not about me. It’s about a team that came together to make something greater than the sum of its parts.”

After thanking the whole 'Poor Things' cast and crew, Emma singled out her director, Yorgos Lanthimos, adding, "Thank you for the gift of a lifetime, Bella Baxter."

Emma previously won an Oscar for best lead actress in 'La La Land' in 2017. She was also nominated for an Oscar in the supporting actress category for 'Birdman' and 'The Favorite', her first collaboration with Lanthimos.
