'In:vite U': Pentagon tops charts like iTunes, MelOn and Bugs, fans get emotional

Pentagon's 12th mini-album 'In:vite U' has topped iTunes in 30 countries

Pentagon is back with their 12th mini-album titled ‘In:vite U’. It is their best-selling album yet and with good reason. We have retro pop, Latin influence, and opera-themed tracks that make it a no-skip album. And fans seem to agree as they have helped it top several reputable charts like MelOn, Bugs, and even international charts like iTunes. On top of it, even the music video of the title track ‘Feelin Like’ was a hit as it topped charts, trended on Twitter and YouTube, and amassed record-breaking views before the first 24-hour mark was even over.

The K-pop group proved that they are more than their one-hit-wonder ‘Shine’ as they are finally getting the recognition they deserve. Pentagon got their first win with the previous release ‘Daisy’, while ‘Love or Take’ was their highest charting album on South Korean charts. It was also their best-selling with 114k sales. But it looks like ‘In:vite U’ is going to break all these records on day 1 itself, having swept hearts and charts.

Pentagon tops charts with 'In:vite U'

Pentagon is still with eight members as Jinho, who was discharged from this military, replaced leader Hui who was the next member to enlist for his mandatory military enlistment. They released ‘In:vite U’ on January 24, and within hours, the album topped Bugs Chart and entered Genie. Along with it, all six of the tracks entered MelOn’s top 6 with the title track ‘Feelin Like’ leading at #1. ‘In:vite U’ is also doing well on international charts as it immediately debuted at #1 on iTunes Worldwide, making them the first K-pop group to do so in 2022. It was also #2 on European iTunes. 

Meanwhile, it topped iTunes in 30 countries like Poland and Singapore. It is their most topped iTunes album as their previous album ‘Love or Take’ had topped in 14 countries. ‘In:vite U’ is also in the top 10 of US iTunes which is extremely hard for K-pop albums to chart high. Even the title track ‘Feelin Like’ topped iTunes in 11 countries like Colombia and Chile. It is also in the top 30 of the Worldwide iTunes Songs Chart. Its music video reached 2 million views in hours and it is now at 6.8 million at 22 hours.

Happy fans are trending Pentagon since last night as they made tweets like, “Congratulations pentagon and universe!!” Another Universe added, “I can't tweet that much bc i have classes but seeing all of these achievements make me feel so proud. pentagon tracks dominating on bugs chart from #1 to #6. pentagon debuts on itunes worldwide album, the first kpop artist to top this chart (2022). #1 in itunes in 30 countries…” One made a reaction meme, “Thank you so much. I'm speechless.” Another fan shared, “No you do not understand how emotional i am whenever pentagon releases something and everytime they top the charts, they still cant believe it. if only the world knows how much of a talented artist pentagon is.”
