Pentagon's Jinho to be discharged from army early after BtoB's Sungjae and Hyunsik

Jinho who has been unofficially discharged amid Covid pandemic will rejoin Pentagon on November 14

Universe (Pentagon’s fandom) everywhere are surprised as they have been wondering if Jinho’s finally home. As the oldest member to reach the military enlistment age in 2020, Jinho was the first Pentagon singer to enlist for his mandatory military service. In fact, his enlistment was the most eventful as his group was participating in the fierce survival show ‘Road To Kingdom’. Their labelmates BTOB later participated in the sequel ‘Kingdom’.

During the second round where the mission was to perform ‘My Song’, it was revealed that Jinho would be enlisting after the episode. For his farewell, Pentagon decided to perform a tearjerking rendition of their viral hit song, ‘Shine’, and the melancholic ballad, ‘Spring Snow’. All of the participants were touched and ended up voting for Pentagon making it the second-highest stage in the self-voting category.

Jinho to return home

Fans have eagerly been waiting for Jinho to come back since a lot has happened after he enlisted. Yanan, the Chinese member whose status in the group was uncertain, finally reunited with the boys. Pentagon finally got their first music show win with the lead single, ‘Daisy’. Leader Hui then enlisted with Kino becoming the temporary leader. We also had the maknae (youngest) line officially becoming a sub-unit and releasing the trendy single ‘Cerberus.

Jinho has also been quite active even though he was in the military. He opened his personal Instagram account and would regularly update fans whenever he got his phone privileges. In fact, Universe was pleasantly surprised when they spotted him at his agency’s practice room two weeks ago. They wondered if he would be coming back much sooner than anticipated. He was then allowed to take a vacation for Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving).

And on September 29, it was announced that instead of returning back to his army base, Jinho had been unofficially discharged. This has been going on due to the global pandemic and the Covid-19 protocols put in place. The same rule had applied to EXO members who returned last year and BTOB. BTOB’s Sungjae and Hyunsik are said to have been unofficially discharged from their duties on September 28. As for Jinho, he will be able to return to work and end his hiatus and rejoin Pentagon on November 14.

Happy fans have been trending Jinho and making tweets like, “Hugs to universe who will officially meet jinho for the first time,” “JINHO’S HOME?!????!?” and “Feels like it’s only yesterday when we’re bawling our eyes out while watching bomnari stage bc of jinho and now he’s back.” Another was excited about, “Jinho sing daisy jinho sing basquiat (especially hui's high note part) jinho sing do or not jinho release more magazineho jinho comeback with ptg.”
