Release date

The official release date for Season 3 of 'Hospital Playlist' has not been announced yet. Watch this space for updates.

Where to watch

While there is no official news regarding Season 3 of 'Hospital Playlist', you can watch Season 1 and Season 2 of the show on Netflix.

Plot

Season 1 featured five doctors who grew close back in medical school and often performed as a band. Years of work had them grow apart, but they soon find themselves all working at the same hospital, rekindling their strong friendship. Between dealing with cases, relationships and making time for their music, season 1 gave fans an insight into who each of them are. Season 2, on the other hand, focused a lot more on each of their relationships and interpersonal bonds.

There were romances galore in season 2, as the series explored each of the doctors' love lives. For Jeong-won, season 1 ended with him nearly joining the priesthood, only to find love in the arms of resident doctor Gyeo-ul. Jun-wan, who was pursuing a secret relationship with Ik-jun's younger sister, suffered a terrible heartbreak, only for Season 2 to reveal that there is still hope for the two of them.

Seok-hyeong, who, after his divorce, has been wary of love, is finally opening up to Min-ha, who has been relentless in her pursuit of him. And finally, there is Ik-jun, who has been steadfast when it comes to his deep love for Song-hwa, who is slowly starting to notice the lengths he will go for her and how she is genuinely at ease around him.

While there is no concrete news regarding the renewal of the series for season 3, the fact that Season 2 has not entirely resolved any of the relationships mentioned above could be an indicator of what is yet to come. As reported by The Straits Times, the director of the series, Shin Won-ho, did mention that it was to be a three season series.

"(Three seasons) is the sort of timeline we originally had in mind. This is my first attempt at a seasonal series so I've come across a lot of new challenges and limitations. There are a lot of pros, but also some cons that we were not able to foresee." he said. However, it might be a while before fans can see the doctor squad back again. "I've told the cast members a third season is not definite, so they can feel free to schedule whatever projects they want to do." he added.  While there is no mention of the series being renewed or cancelled, there is a food change season 3 might hit screens after an extended period.
