The Season 5 finale of 'Ex on the Beach' had a twist that nobody saw coming- Derynn Paige dumping her ex Ricky Rogers for good! The couple found their way to the MTV dating show after Ricky broke Derynn's trust by not being honest with her about his other relationships while they were together.

When Ricky washed up on the beach, Derynn was fuming at him for putting her through so much pain. But Ricky was determined to show his ex that he had changed a lot since their split. Slowly but steadily, Ricky worked his way back into Derynn's life and tried proving to her that he could be trusted and deserved a second chance. Derynn gave in and tried working things out with him. Though the couple's relationship seemed to be going pretty strong during the show, when it was finally time for her to make the big decision about their relationship, Derynn decided to ditch him as she wasn't completely over the heartbreak he caused her. She explained that she still struggled with trusting him and decided to put herself first.

Ricky was upset with Derynn's decision. He felt that he had given his all to make their relationship work, but she still decided to walk away from their relationship. Unlike Ricky, fans were happy with Derynn's decision and lauded her for placing herself before their relationship. A fan tweeted, "Sad that Ricky and Derryn didn’t work out. It’s hard to trust people when they hurt you and broke that trust #exonthebeach." "Ricky has shown a lot of growth, but I don't blame Derynn for having her doubts...#ExOnTheBeach," wrote a fan. "I feel like Ricky put in so much work for Derynn the moment he got there. But at the end of the day I don't blame her. Old wounds cut deep and she can't trust him. I feel bad, but she definitely did what was best for her and I love that for her #exonthebeach," continued the fan in a follow-up tweet.
