Dani Coco's brief stint on 'Ex on the Beach' Season 5 can be best described as an emotional rollercoaster ride. Dani washed up on the show hoping to rekindle her relationship with ex David Barta. But right from the get-go, Dani had to constantly compete for her affection and attention.

Though David was initially attracted to Mike Mulderrig, and even shared a passionate kiss with him, things between the duo fizzled once Dani walked back into his life. Just as Dani began feeling hopeful about David and her getting things right this time around, sadly for her 'Love Island' star Kyra Green popped up. David was completely smitten by Kyra, and immediately discarded Dani to pursue Kyra. This left Dani feeling hurt and upset. Though David assured her that he wanted to make things work with her, he couldn't deny feeling drawn to Kyra. Dani trusted him and kept hoping that David would come back to her. But when she saw David express his feelings for Kyra and kiss her during their date, Dani felt upset. She declared that she would be leaving the MTV show as she didn't want to be anybody's second fiddle and deserved more love and respect than what David was giving her.

Dani left without saying goodbye to David or any other house members. When David and Kyra later learned about Dani's self-eviction from the show, Kyra felt sad while David looked indifferent. After watching David's reaction to his ex leaving, fans began slamming him and pointed out that Dani deserved better. A fan tweeted, "Anyway, Dani is a strong queen who doesn’t need anyone who doesn’t need her. Period. #ExOnTheBeach." "I’m proud of Dani she kept her composure the whole time, she got all the answers she needed and realized she deserved better that’s honestly so much growth amazing job Dani will miss you #exonthebeach," wrote a fan. Another fan commented, "It's ok Dani you deserve better you don't need this kinda trash in your life #ExOnTheBeach." "This show has just been torturing poor Dani the past couple episodes!! The episode ended with Kyra's ex Emily Salch washing up on the shore. After watching how poorly David treated Dani, fans began hoping for karma to work its magic by making Kyra ditch him for Emily. "It would be funny if kyra ex come and she don’t want nothing to do with David #exonthebeach," expressed a fan. "Kyra is telling David the same thing he said to Dani!! She wants to spend time with him, but if her ex shows up she will want to put her attention with her ex. That sounds like a bit of Karam for telling Dani he wants to be with her but still pursue other people #exonthebeach," pointed out a fan.
