There's a lot to discover in 'Eric' Episode 6. So, let's jump in!
Vincent uncovers a startling truth about Edgar in Episode 6
While moving through the subway tunnel, Vincent sees one of Edgar's drawings and meets a man named Yuusuf Egbe (Bamar Kane). He starts accusing Yuusuf, demanding to know what he did to his son.
Yuusuf explains that Edgar came to him because he didn't want to live in a toxic family environment. Yuusuf and a large homeless community reside underground in an abandoned section of the New York subway system.
Edgar had noticed Yuusuf before through the graffiti tags he left around town and decided he wanted to join him instead of going to school or returning to his toxic home.
He says he tried everything to push Edgar away from the abandoned section. Then he says Edgar must be near a drain by the streets and tells Vincent that he is on his own to find him.
In Vincent's hallucination, the imagined Eric takes on an accusatory tone, blaming Vincent for everything.
Michael Ledroit finds Marlon Rochelle's killer in Episode 6
Michael Ledroit (McKinley Belcher III), who was on a mission to find Edgar, discovers a broader conspiracy involving sexual exploitation that extends from underground nightclubs to the police force.
Marlon Rochelle (Bence Orere), a fourteen-year-old who has been missing for the past eleven months, did not receive nearly as much media attention as Edgar.
Michael finally discovers that Deputy Mayor Costello (Jeff Hephner), a prominent civic leader, was involved in Marlon's disappearance. A CCTV video shows Marlon leading Costello down an alleyway for a sexual act. Soon after, corrupt NYPD officers Nokes (Ryan Hunter) and Kennedy (Bobby Schofield), who extort money from the club and sometimes blackmail customers, stumble upon them.
They brutally attack and beat Marlon to death. Later on, Ledroit stands alongside Marlon's mother, Cecile (Adepero Oduye), gazing out over a vast landfill just outside New York City, because Marlon is buried there.
Vincent reunites with his missing son Edgar in Episode 6
While wandering the streets, Edgar eventually arrives at a cafe where he successfully convinces the staff to provide him with some food.
Vincent, desperate to find Edgar and believing that his son is still alive, takes a bold and unconventional approach to appeal to the public for help. He dons an Eric costume, the character from Edgar's drawings, and appears in the media to plead for his son's return.
He apologizes to Edgar and urges him to come back home. Vincent's emotional appeal resonates with many, touching the hearts of those who see him on television or in newspapers.
After seeing the video, Edgar runs and returns home, finally reuniting with Vincent. Cassie Anderson (Gaby Hoffmann), Eric's mother, also arrives, and she shares a heartfelt hug with Edgar.
Vincent decides to perform a puppet show for Edgar, wearing the Eric costume that has become so symbolic of their journey. As the show begins, Edgar watches with wide-eyed wonder, delighted by the familiar characters and storylines that his father brings to life.
In the last scene, Vincent and Edgar sit together, talking and laughing happily.
