In 'Homicide: New York' Episode 3, the narrative takes the viewers back to July 7, 2009, at 12:46 PM, where they are introduced to a scene at Two Rector Street.

Eridania Rodriguez, originally from San Francisco de Macoris in the Dominican Republic, was married with three children. She had worked at the building in Two Rector Street in the Financial District for approximately one year prior to her disappearance.

On July 7, 2009, Rodriguez disappeared after completing her shift at the building. Detectives commenced their investigation, delving into clues and unraveling the mystery surrounding her disappearance.

Dr Alfred Titus, a retired NYPD homicide detective, explained that while people recalled seeing Rodriguez entering the building, no one remembered seeing her leave.

This puzzling discrepancy left investigators baffled, as it suggested that Rodriguez had disappeared without anyone noticing, raising questions about what could have transpired.

Detective Alfred Titus uncovers new leads in the disappearance of Eridania Rodriguez

After an extensive search effort, investigators unearthed several crucial clues in the case of Eridania Rodriguez's disappearance.

In Episode 3 of 'Homicide: New York', the discovery of the pushcart hair clip on the 8th floor added a new layer of intrigue to the investigation into Rodriguez's disappearance.

The detective investigating Rodriguez's disappearance noted the maintenance guy's suspicious behavior, highlighting his unexplained absence of approximately 45 minutes. Although he was spotted in the basement, there was no footage of him emerging from the elevators. The man was identified as Joseph Pabon.

Investigators find Joseph Pabon's DNA under Rodriguez's fingernails

Detective Titus received a call from a detective in the 9th Precinct regarding Rodriguez's whereabouts.

On the 12th floor of the building, investigators discovered blood and residue coming from the AC duct. Rodriguez's body was found bound, hogtied, with her hands behind her back and her mouth duct-taped.

Pabon's DNA was found under Rodriguez's fingernails, indicating a struggle between them. Additionally, Pabon had scratches on his neck and other parts of his body, suggesting that Rodriguez fought back against him.

During the trial, Pabon was seen laughing while glancing at Rodriguez's family. He never provided a clear motive for his actions, leaving unanswered questions about why he committed such a heinous crime.

In June 2012, he was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison. He is currently serving his sentence behind bars.
