MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: 'Eric' is an upcoming crime-thriller series that will stream on Netflix from May 30, 2024. It tells the story of a grief-stricken father Vincent (Benedict Cumberbatch), whose young son Edgar (Ivan Morris Howe) goes missing. 

Created by Abi Morgan, 'Eric' is based in 1980s Manhattan and it tells the story of a society plagued by crime, as Vincent finds himself away from the world and talking only to his son's imaginary monster. 

The psychological thriller stars many talented performers like Benedict Cumberbatch, Gaby Hoffmann, Ivan Morris Howe, McKinley Belcher III, Bamar Kane, Jeff Hephner, Dan Fogler, and Erika Soto.

Benedict Cumberbatch as Vincent

Benedict Cumberbatch is one of the most acclaimed actors in the world. He worked in theatre for a long time before gaining fame with his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in 'Hawking' in 2004. 

His biggest breakthrough though came in 2010 when he played Sherlock Holmes in the series 'Sherlock'. The vastly popular series made him a household name. His portrayal of Alan Turing in 'The Imitation Game' earned him accolades from all over the world. He is also known for playing Doctor Stephen Strange in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In 'Eric', he assumes the role of Vincent, a puppeteer in 1980s New York.

Gaby Hoffmann as Cassie

Gaby Hoffmann got her first film role in 1989 in the movie 'Field of Dreams' as a child actor. In her impressive career, she has done some exceptional roles in films like 'Now and Then', 'Everyone Says I Love You', and 'Uncle Buck', among others. 

Her performance as Ali Pfefferman in the TV series 'Transparent' was much appreciated as she appeared in 42 episodes across the span of the series. She played the role of Claire Rothman in the series 'Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty'. 

Dan Fogler as Lennie 

Dan Fogler shot to fame when he played the role of Kenny Hyden in 'Man Up' in 2010. He played Franklin in the TV series 'Hannibal' and Dave in 'Secrets and Lies'.

He played the role of Francis Ford Coppola in 'The Offer' and Jacob Kowalski in 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them'. He is also a writer and director. 

McKinley Belcher III as Ledroit

After playing the role of Antony Carter in 'The Passage', Mckinley Belcher III shot to fame with his role in 'Marriage Story' where he played the role of Lighting Designer. 

He then played Agent Trevor Evans in the popular TV Series 'Ozark' and Arlong in another popular series 'One Piece'. 

Ivan Morris Howe as Edgar

Ivan Morris Howe makes his debut with 'Eric' as he plays the missing son of Vincent. He gets an opportunity to showcase his skills along with some of the best actors in the industry. 

If the initial glimpses of him are any proof, we are in for a powerhouse performance from this talented young performer.

Bamar Kane as Yuusuf

Bamar Kane is known for his performance in 'Father and Soldier' alongside Omar Sy. He has also been a part of the TV series 'Le monde d'après'. 

His other work includes his role in the acclaimed film 'Io Capitano', where he played the role of Bouba. 

Jeff Hephner as Costello

Jeff Hephner has been a part of some iconic films like 'Oppenheimer' where he played a congressman and 'Interstellar' where he played the role of a doctor. 

His meatiest role came in 'For All Mankind' where he played the role of Sam Cleveland in the series. He also played the role of Kevin Whitman in 'Power Book II: Ghost'.

José Pimentão as Sebastian

José Pimentão is an actor and musician who became popular for his role in the acclaimed Netflix series '1899'. He played the role of Ramiro in the series. 

He appeared in 90 episodes of the TV series 'Valor da Vida' where he played the role of Alexandre Bastos Moreira.

Erika Soto as Tina

Erika Soto is an actress who is known for playing Karla in the TV series 'Vida'. She also impressed in 'A Tale told by an Idiot'.

Apart from her roles in films and TV shows, she has also given her voice to the popular video game 'Need for Speed Unbound'.
