Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor's latest movie, 'The End of Oak Street,' is now in theaters, and viewers have one question on their minds: Will there be a post-credit scene? Before heading to the theater, those wondering whether a surprise awaits them after the credits should know that the film does not have a post-credit scene. So, viewers are free to leave when the credits begin rolling. The film’s plotline wraps up at the end of the 99-minute-long feature, so staying until the absolute end is not mandatory.

The movie features Hathaway and McGregor as the parents of two children played by Maisy Stella and Christian Convery. The movie initially starred Oscar Isaac, but he dropped out before filming began, and McGregor stepped in. The highly anticipated film is written and directed by David Robert Mitchell. This sci-fi/adventure drama follows a family that begins to realize that something strange is happening in their suburban neighborhood. The next thing they know, their entire street is transported to a land where dinosaurs roam free. Now, the family must learn to work together to survive.

The family somehow manages to escape via a strange wormhole. They soon discover that the wormhole spat them out just an hour before the catastrophe occurred. This allowed them to reunite with a family member they almost lost in the crossfire and warn the rest of the neighborhood of the impending doom. Two years later, they are seen as a close-knit family, having learned to appreciate each other after the ordeal. This movie also revealed that Denis Platt (Hathaway’s character) went on to write a book about their experiences, aptly titled ‘The End of Oak Street.’ Her daughter Audrey attends Cornell University, studying under Carl Sagan.

Additionally, it is worth noting that this film is dedicated to Mitchell’s late father, Robert Allen Mitchell, who passed away in 2024. Meanwhile, critics have been kind to ‘The End of Oak Street.’ The film has an 86% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes with 152 reviews, and 68 on Metacritic. It opened this weekend alongside ‘Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie’ and ‘The Brink of War.’
