The master of sci-fi cinema is back. Steven Spielberg is in the spotlight with his latest extraterrestrial fiction feature, Disclosure Day. Starring Emily Blunt, Josh O'Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, and Colman Domingo, the movie follows humanity discovering we are not the only life form in the universe. Known as Spielberg's long-cherished project, Close Encounters of the Third Kind was one 1977s runaway hits. The film depicts the interconnected stories of Roy Neary (Richard Dreyfuss), a blue-collar worker in Indiana whose life changes after an encounter with an unidentified flying object. Also starring in major roles were Melinda Dillon, Teri Garr, Bob Balaban, Cary Guffey, and François Truffaut.

War of the Worlds

Spielberg hit another home run with Tom Cruise's War of the Worlds in 2005. Based on H.G. Wells' 1898 novel, The War of the Worlds, the film follows Cruise as he looks to save his family after a extraterrestrials invade Earth and decimate cities with massive war machines.

Harrison Ford reprises his tole as the iconic archaelogist alongside Cate Blanchett, Karen Allen, and Shia LaBeouf.

The film stars Haley Joel Osment as David, a childlike android uniquely designed with the ability to love.
