Lo Bosworth skips ‘The Reunion: Laguna Beach’ and the reason makes complete sense
More than two decades after first stepping into the spotlight on ‘Laguna Beach’, Lo Bosworth is revisiting that chapter of her life, but not in the way fans might expect. While many of her former castmates gathered in person for ‘The Reunion: Laguna Beach’, Bosworth had to sit this one out. During an appearance on TODAY on April 10, Bosworth shared why she could not attend the reunion in person. As it turns out, timing had a lot to do with it. She welcomed her first child, a daughter named Nelle, with her husband, Dom Natale, earlier this year and said, “I joined virtually from New York because I was very pregnant when they shot the reunion.”
Even though she could not travel to join the rest of the cast on set, she refused to miss out on the event. She connected with the group virtually and also filmed scenes with Lauren Conrad at the office of her wellness brand, Love Wellness. That setting offered a glimpse into how her life has changed since her reality TV days. The reunion itself, which premiered on April 10 on The Roku Channel, brought together several original cast members, including Conrad, Kristin Cavallari, Stephen Colletti, Alex Hooser, Trey Phillips, Dieter Schmitz, Christina Schuller, Jessica Smith, and Talan Torriero.
Through the in-person gathering and a virtual check-in, the group revisited the friendships, conflicts, and romances that once played out on screen for millions of viewers. For Bosworth, the experience turned out to be more meaningful than she initially expected. Speaking about reconnecting with her former castmates, she admitted, “I think everybody was very nervous, actually, to get together, but it turned out to be very healing. Everyone keeps saying, oh, we feel so good after doing the reunion.” She continued, “It was actually really great. I hadn't seen a lot of the people in many, many years.”
Interestingly, this reunion carried extra meaning for her for a personal reason. While many people attend high school reunions as a way to reconnect, Bosworth missed her own. At the time, she was undergoing fertility treatment, which kept her from attending. “So, it was a true reunion for me to be able to get together with everybody,” she noted. Earlier, she addressed her absence more directly in a post on Instagram, where she explained the situation in her own words. “I didn’t go!!!!,” she wrote in the caption. “But not bc I didn’t want to — I did! I live in NYC and I just had a babbbyyyy and I have to have a fragment of placenta removed in a few days. I wore my black and white outfit at home yesterday in solidarity lol.”
