Who went home on ‘The Challenge’ tonight? Season 42 sees heartbreaking exit ahead of final
The latest episode of ‘The Challenge’ Season 42 featured the remaining participants from Team Gray and Team Orange going through the daily challenge, “Swing Into Action.” For that, the host announced, “Behind me is the biggest rig we have ever done on ‘The Challenge’... Ever.” The task was to jump into the water and get in the platform that will take the teammates on an obstacle course, on various platforms hanging in the air above water. The team to complete the course and reach the other end would win the task. They were also given a time limit of one hour. However, there was a twist: “You all are gonna have a solid teamwork, because if any team member falls, they will need to start over, and the rest of the team can not advance until they catch up.”
Since Team Gray lost the previous challenge, they were up first. After them, Team Orange went through the daily challenge. Later, host TJ Lavin announced the results. Team Gray, with four female participants, won the daily challenge. As Team Gray's captain, Adrianne will make the final decisions regarding the Elimination Arena. For Team Orange, Tori was asked to nominate two players for possible elimination. “Man or woman, it's up to you,” the host added. Adrianne will decide which of her teammates would go against one of Team Orange’s players.
At night, both teams arrived at the Elimination Arena. Tori and her team put up Justin and CT for the upcoming elimination. Adrianne sent Alexis Lete to compete in the elimination challenge. However, it soon turned into a heated exchange. Lete was not happy with Adrianne’s decision. The host then asked Adrianne to make the final decision on which Team Orange player would face Lete. She chose Justin. As a result, Lete and Justin faced off in the elimination challenge. The two competed in “Pressure Puzzle.” There were six puzzle chambers, three for each player.
The host announced the elimination challenge, “You both are gonna start from chamber one. When I say go, you will solve that puzzle as fast as you can. If you solve it first, a serious distraction is gonna happen to your opponent, making it more difficult for them to finish the puzzle.” The first participant to finish all three puzzles would win the elimination challenge and save themselves. Since the first puzzle started, Lete was leading. Soon, before Justin completed his first puzzle, she had also completed her second. Lete won the task, and Justin went home. While leaving, Justin said, “Second season getting eliminated right before the final definitely hurts a lot more this time.”
