Each of the celebrity performers was seen opening up about their memorable year in the show. Some talked about their career, a few talked about their motherhood and some about their emotional struggle during the pandemic. Well, Charli D'Amelio unveiled how she scuffled while dealing with anxiety.

Charli along with her partner Mark Ballas jived on contemporary dance to 'When the Party's Over' by Lewis Capaldi. The TikTok star represented her struggle with anxiety in her performance. The star explains that the "contemporary is in her wheelhouse". She further claims to have a "big wheelhouse". Charli opened up about the anxiety issues she faced ever since she gained fame. Well, fame not only brings good things with itself but also unpacks the load of slamming and hateful comments. Charli's heart-moving performance left everyone speechless. Carrie Ann called her dance "perfect" saying, "it conveyed the experience of anxiety". Furthermore, Derek Hough claimed that the star to have performed it "raw with maturity". The star's "heart-wrenching powerful and passionate performance" helped her bag 39/40.

Charli's performance made most of the 'Dancing with the Stars' fans cry. Many related to Charli's anxiety struggle and opened up about their issues on social media. A fan tweeted, "charli and mark have me in tears right now. I also struggle with anxiety and this dance actually means so much to me this was the best dance of the whole season. i’m so proud of them for getting the highest score of the season". Another wrote, "u should’ve seen Charli's dance. anyone that struggles with anxiety should really see it cause it had me and my mom actually bursting into tears. it really shows what anxiety is really like". Furthermore, another fan claimed, "Charli D’Amelio’s contemporary dance made me cry so much that tears were running down my face! I have had multiple anxiety attacks this year I so fully sympathize with her! My jaw dropped & my heart stopped for a moment when Charli was in the air! So powerful!" Well, a few praised Charli's performance saying, "it really showed what anxiety is really like".

Moreover, a few fans think that show will later hire Charli professionally. One wrote, "Charli is gonna get hired professionally after this show. Heck, she may even get hired for this show one day".
