'DWTS' fans slam 'ableist' Carrie Ann, claim MS-challenged Selma Blair's cartwheel should've scored more

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Dancing with the Stars' fans appreciated how Disney+ is featuring physically-challenged celebrities like Selma Blair and Daniel Durant. Selma, who struggles with multiple sclerosis, showed strength by coming on the dancing competition and giving it her best, week after week. On the recently-released 'Elvis Night' episode, Selma with her partner Sasha Farber jived to 'Jailhouse Rock'. 

Before the performance, Selma feared that she might freeze up during the performance. However, she amazed everyone with her outlandish dance moves. And, to everyone's astonishment, she even did a cartwheel with a split. Fans know how much stamina a cartwheel requires, and Selma doing it made everyone cheer loud for her. Ultimately, Selma Blair and Sasha Farber bagged 28/40 points, scoring a 7/10 from each of the four judges. Panelist Carrie Ann commented on the performance, saying that Selma made her performance "look a lot easier than it must be for her". Well, her remark seemed to make fans angry. 'DWTS' fans are well aware of Selma's multiple sclerosis situation. Even after so much physical struggle, the star is often seen doing her best on the stage. However, fans believe that one should not be always reminded of their challenges. After listening to Carrie's remark on Selma's performance at Elvis night, a fan tweeted, "@officialdwts get them judges some support; Carrie Ann, Selma is challenging herself, she doesn’t need an ableist reminder with your feedback. #DWTS31". Another fan slammed the show, saying, "I don't really like the show using the possibility of Selma messing up due to her illness as a drama cliffhanger #DWTS #DWTS31". Another 'DWTS' fan demanded, "They should’ve given Selma a foxtrot #DWTS31". 

In addition, many felt Selma was not given the score she deserved and should have bagged more points. A fan claimed, "Oh, come on judges. Selma & Sasha deserved higher scores than all those damn 7s! #Fix #DWTS". Another viewer clapped back at the show, "Um....underscored much? Selma deserved better! #dwts". Furthermore, some of the trollers continued to call out judges for giving Charli more marks than Selma. "They did not give Charli (who messed up) a higher score than Selma. #DWTS", wrote a fan. Another claimed, "I call shenanigans! They gave Charli all 8 over Shangela, Selma & Wayne?!?!? No shade to the young girl but … No. #DWTS31 #DWTS #Shangela"
