As the girl group prepares for a new comeback in 14 months, fans of (G)I-dle try to get accustomed to their new five-member group concept after the sudden departure of Soojin back in August 2021. While this may be (G)I-dle’s first official comeback in one year and two months, other members of the group have been flourishing in their solo careers with Soyeon participating in the recently released single, ‘ANI’ as well as being the tough mentor on the variety show, ‘My Teenage Girl’.

On the other hand, Miyeon who is currently the MC of Mnet’s music show, ‘M Countdown’ shocked fans when it was revealed that she had to take a break from the show as she had tested positive for Covid-19. With (G)I-dle members announcing a new comeback in March, Neverland’s (fans of (G)I-dle) are hoping for her speedy recovery as this would be the first time the group will perform as five members.

(G)I-dle to make a comeback in March 2022

According to Cube Entertainment, the label that manages (G)I-dle, the girl group is currently preparing to make a comeback in March this year. This marks their first comeback in a year and two months since the release of their last Korean mini-album, ‘I Burn’ that dropped back in January 2021. Even though fans are excited about the news of (G)I-dle making a comeback, they are reminiscing the time when the girl group was a six-member collective with Soojin present as the group's main dancer.

Back in March 2021, Soojin was involved in a series of school bullying accusations that led to her sudden departure from the group in August 2021 leaving fans asking questions about Cube Entertainment’s artist management. Soojin, who had denied all accusations against her and nor was she proven guilty as reports suggest that the police investigation against her had not arrived at a conclusion.

Neverlands were extremely sad when it was revealed that Cube Entertainment forced Soojin to leave (G)I-dle despite her not being proven guilty of school bullying.
