VIVIZ 'Bop Bop!': Group becomes 2nd fastest after IVE to bag first music show win
VIVIZ, the girl group that was made from former GFriend members has finally made their debut after a lot of ‘Will they? Won’t they?’ after all three members of the group tested positive for Covid, days ahead of their debut. Now, VIVIZ ties with the rookie group IVE as they too bag their first music show win, only a week after their debut. Music show wins are a way for K-pop artists to be awarded for the new songs they release ever-so-often.
While award shows are always there to serve the purpose of recognizing deserving talent, they are celebrated once a year where only the limited best artists bag wins. Thus weekly music shows are a way to reward well-deserving artists every week. On February 16, VIVIZ, the girl group that made their debut on February 9 bagged their first music show win, only seven days after their debut.
This achievement has made VIVIZ the second fastest girl group after Starship Entertainment’s IVE to bag a music show win only a week after their debut.

VIVIZ ‘Bop Bop!’ first win
On Wednesday, February 16, the girl group VIVIZ bagged their first-ever music show win at the MBC Music Show, ‘Show Champion’ for ‘Bop Bop!’ the lead single from their debut mini-album, ‘Beam of Prism’. VIVIZ made their debut on February 9 where members Umji, Eunha, and SinB who were first a part of GFriend, regrouped under a new label and made their second debut as a new group.
Only seven days after their debut as VIVIZ, the trio are enjoying their first-ever music show win becoming one of the fastest girl groups to take a music show win home. Before VIVIZ, Starship Entertainment’s IVE was the fastest girl group in the history of K-pop to bag a music show win so soon after their debut. As VIVIZ took the winning trophy at ‘Show Champion’, member Eunha said, “This is the first prize we have received since our debut, and it is a really valuable award.”

Thanking fans for the award, member SinB thanked Na. V - their fandom, which is also pronounced as Nabi, means butterfly in Korean. SinB said, “Thank you so much to our Na. V and to my members who have worked so hard for ‘Bop Bop!’ and thank you to the Big Planet Maid, our label, our families, and our staff for working hard for us.”
Also talking about their debut VIVIZ revealed that the release of ‘Beam of Prism’ was not as peaceful for them with all members of the group testing positive for Covid-19 only a while ahead of their debut date. Umji said, “Actually, it was a re-debut with a lot of worries, but we are really happy to win 1st place because so many people loved and found us.”
