'Adult Trainees': (G)I-dle's Miyeon to appear in first part of Tving's teen drama
The main poster for new Tving drama ‘Adult Trainee’ has been released, and it promises a comedy-romance that tells the story of three main characters in three different parts. The teasers of the show make it seem that the show is a ‘no filter' comedy featuring an explosion of hormones from teenagers who think that they know everything. The show will have 7 episodes in total and will air on November 12 on the online platform.
The makers of the show say that they are trying to present a different approach to conservative topics in a comedy that features Gen Z characters. The show will deal with the troubles and love among six 18-year-olds as they explore masturbation, unrequited love as well as secret sexual explorations of hormonal teenagers.
The show is gaining a lot of attention from K-pop fans due to the inclusion of (G)I-dle's Miyeon in the main cast of the drama.

About ‘Adult Trainee’
In its seven episodes, the show also tries to touch on topics like being an overweight mother who finds love. The first story of three is titled ‘Jaemin’, which explores the character of Jaemin, a young man with masturbation addiction. He is in love with the character of Yekyung but is not able to find the courage to confess his feelings to her.
The character of Jaemin will be played by actor Ryu Ui-hyeon, who was last seen in the web drama ‘Ateen’ and ‘Ateen 2’. Playing the character of Yekyung, the unrequited love of Jaemin, is (G)I-dle’s Miyeon. This will mark Miyeon’s third web drama after the IPTV web drama ‘Delivery’.
Controversial topics are talked about in the drama
Fans of Miyeon initially were in two minds about the show given the controversial plot of the show while some fans in support of the drama argued that it was high time topics concerning sexual issues young teens face were explored in shows so fans and young watchers would get more knowledge about such conservative issues. The second part of the drama tells the story of a character who dreams of a dangerous and bizarre escape with her boyfriend but is suddenly infatuated by her boyfriend's best friend. The final part of the series will see the story of an overweight girl who deals with her personal issues in terms of her weight while a mystery man 'J' enters her life and sets her on a mission to explore her identity.
While talking about the show, the production team said, "The love story of adult trainees, who are clumsy and sassy, and bold and cheerful, will give you a different kind of fun." The first part of the web drama 'Adult Trainee' will be released on Tving on November 12 while the second part of the drama comes out on November 19 and the final part of the drama will release on November 26.
