BTS fans upset as V gets death threats from Jimin and Jungkook shippers: ‘Unbelievable’

A 2019 tweet and moments from BTS' 'PTD On Stage' concerts have led to an internal fan war among ARMY

After Jungkook, V aka Kim Taehyung has become the target of shippers. Due to the fan service that K-pop idols are made to do, a lot of affectionate and bromance moments feed into fans’ delusions as they start ‘shipping’ two idols together. In fact, during BTS’ ‘PTD On Stage - Seoul’ concert, Jimin had shared that he did not like shipping or being affectionate for the sake of fan service and that any affectionate moments between the group were genuine. 

Unfortunately, like any K-pop group, there are many fans who have their own ships in BTS as they pair two members due to their "chemistry" or closeness. There have also been several fan wars inside the fandom as they try to defend their ship or feel that it is real. The latest fan war that has now erupted is due to a 2019 tweet and moments between V, Jimin and Jungkook during their ‘PTD On Stage’ concerts.

V gets death threats

Some BTS fans who ship ‘Jikook’, a pairing of Jimin and Jungkook, decided to troll V as they brought back moments from the concerts where V is seemingly trying to get between Jungkook and Jimin. However, in the clips circulating, Jimin and Jungkook are playfully holding hands and acting as a barrier so as not to let V get ahead. A 2019 tweet was also brought back where a Jikook fan had threatened V with a gun. A majority of the ARMY were shocked that jealous fans were sending death threats to V for coming between their ship. Meanwhile, those who ship V and Jungkook started tweeting about 'Taekook'. Many resorted to nasty tweets while trying to defend V, ‘Taekook’ or ‘Jikook’.

'A whole clownery'

The situation has escalated with fans trending phrases like #FreeTaehyungfromJikookers. One fan tweeted, “Jokers need to stop setting th up because he doesn't need it and also because out of all those 3 members he is the one who has call out delulu freaks.” Another ARMY posted, “I'm so mad rn... you guys are unbelievable.”

One clarified that the tweet that started it all was from 2019, “This is so f*ing insensitive of y'all to bring back an tweet from 2019 and trending something like this which only attracts toxicity.Btw the acc tweet this was a TROLL acc.They had no pfp and was just created that day. That g/un pic is taken from yt.”

Another fan shared, “A whole Clownery on comment section ?? People real people fig8ting over ships lol. Idc do what u want , u are using troll accounts ss and giving a platform for clowns to diss th and fig8t over ships. Keep th out of ur tweets.” One ARMY was shocked, “How is this ok though?!  At least this isn't a troll on Twitter with 1 follower made to victimize your ship These people reached tae's eyes…”

Another added, “Why is this fan so pathetic? Like omg go f*k yourself or something leave the boys alone you're crossing the line. Ugh. Disgusting.” One ARMY shared, “How old are these people? Do they actually believe in what they're saying? Just...why? I have so many questions…”
