HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES: Marvel confirmed in early 2022 that 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' would officially be the end of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Marvel Studios began its post-'Infinity War' storytelling in 2021 after projects went through several delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic. 'WandaVision' served as the first entry into Phase 4. Fans have now praised director Ryan Coogler for what they thought was an amazing ending to MCU Phase 4.

The movie side of Marvel's plans began with May 2021's 'Black Widow'. That year was the first in which four MCU movies were released in a single year. This year has already seen 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' and 'Thor: Love and Thunder'. As 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' ended Phase 4 in 2022, the first Phase in the Multiverse Saga lasted less than just two years. The movie, directed by Ryan Coogler, brought back Shuri, Okoye, M'Baku, Nakia, and others.

'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' post-credits scene moves fans to tears: 'Chadwick is really missed'

'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' LEAKS: Will T'Challa's son be introduced in the film?

The movie closes with T’Challa’s sister Shuri (Letitia Wright) confronting her sorrow for her family by carrying out a traditional Wakandan funeral ritual, following which the credits scene picks up.

Social media showered Coogler with praises, with one user saying, "Perhaps biased but this was easily the best film of Marvel Phase 4. A worthy successor to the original. Angela Bassett carries the film emotionally. Namor is a problem. Ryan Coogler deserves an award."

"BLOWN AWAY. #WakandaForever was INCREDIBLE. This is my favorite theater experience of the year. I absolutely loved what they accomplished here on such an incredibly hard task. Letitia Wright & Angela Basset were phenomenal & Ryan Coogler is Marvel's GOAT. Powerful end to Phase 4!" said one user.

"I absolutely BALLED my eyes out for the mid credit scene. I'm truly floored with how they did this. Can't wait to rewatch," commented one user.

"Theres something so poetic about having Shuri go through being consumed by vengeance the same way her brother did in Civil War. Ryan Coogler did that so brilliantly and it made for such a great parallel. I love that arc so much," one user wrote.

While another said, "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was excellent. Phase 4 of the MCU (other than Shang-Chi) has been on life support and Ryan Coogler resuscitated it with the heart shaped herb."

One user said, "Wakanda Forever was fantastic. I had super low expectations but I should have know that Ryan Coogler is a genius. Maybe the best film of phase 4".
