We are living in an age where fan movements can encourage big production houses to cast an actor in a role that they have been rooting for, especially in superhero ventures. A few weeks ago, Marvel fans started rooting for Keke Palmer on social media and started a movement that the actor should become a part of the ‘X-Men’ universe as Rogue, one of the most interesting characters from the aforementioned franchise. The actor is well aware of the fan movement aiming to get her cast as Rogue. So much so, Palmer treated the fans by dressing up as the iconic character for Halloween this year and hinted at she might be joining the MCU really soon.

The ‘Nope’ shared some extraordinary pictures on her social media accounts where she can be seen donning the iconic green and gold suit, along with a stylish purple jacket. She captioned the images as, “You had a request.”

On the other hand, she also uploaded a video on Instagram in which she can be seen giving, like, an audition for the role and hinting that she might be appearing as the legendary character in the 'X-Men' franchise. The short clip sees her using her power while fighting the bad guys before hilariously walking out of the scene by saying, “Guys, is this really the best s**t we could come up with?”

She captioned the video, “There’s nothing I won’t do for you guys! In your Marvel Universe, I’ll always be Rogue.”

This is the second time in the last two weeks that Palmer has hinted that she might become a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in the upcoming future. Speaking in an interview with Comicbook.com earlier this month, the actor noted that she is absolutely ready to play Rogue in the MCU and thanked all her fans for such extraordinary support.

As soon as the actor dropped the pictures online, social media users were quick to jump to the conclusion that Palmer is playing Rogue in the upcoming MCU titles and Marvel just needs to confirm it. Meanwhile, a lot of people applauded Palmer for being the accurate version of the iconic character.

One of the fans said, “Perfect in every way.” Another fan noted, “You ate this so bad. MARVEL GET MY SISTA.” Another social media user wrote, “OH YOU ATE THIS!! @KevFeige ARE YOU LOOKING?? LOOK WITH BOTH EYES!!” Another fan tweeted, “It HAS to happen now.”

The original ‘X-Men’ franchise saw Anna Paquin playing the role of Rogue and garnering a lot of praise for how she portrayed the character. However, she was bizarrely cut from ‘X-Men: Days of the Future Past’ due to time constraints.

As of now, no actor has been cast in the role. In fact, no one knows how will the new ‘X-Men’ look like because nothing has been announced so far. Hugh Jackman will be returning as Wolverine in ‘Deadpool 3’ while Ryan Reynolds is reprising the role of the foul-mouthed superhero, which indicates that this might be a new dawn for the superhero mutants.
