HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES: The sequel to Black Panther is finally here with 'Wakanda Forever', which has a treat for fans who are ready to stay past the point where the credits begin. The post-credits scene is as touching as it can get. The movie closes with T’Challa’s sister Shuri (Letitia Wright) confronting her sorrow for her family by carrying out a traditional Wakandan funeral ritual, following which the credits scene picks up.

Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) joins the young Black Panther and goes on to introduce her to Nakia’s secret son — T’Challa’s offspring and Shuri’s nephew. He says he is known as Toussaint, for Toussaint Louverture, an important figure in the overthrow of French control in Haiti. He was also a pivotal figure in the country’s transformation into a sovereign state where people were enslaved in the past. However, he says this is his Haitian name, and his other is Prince T’Challa, of Wakanda.

Nakia says she and the late T’Challa conceived in secret but decided to raise their son outside the dangers of the Wakandan court. It is heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time as Shuri embraces the final member of her family she had no idea she had. It is also an emotional tribute to the previous T’Challa, late actor Chadwick Boseman. Notably, there is no comic book precedent for the scene.

Fans are moved to tears by the post-credits scene, with one user writing on Twitter, "If you're going to see "Wakanda Forever," take a whole box of tissues. Per person. Or two. Plus one extra for the end credit scene." Another user wrote, "#Wakandaforever end credit scene was the most beautiful, respectful, the best possible bookend, & also the new beginning of both T'Challa & Chadwick's legacy. T'Challa died & lives! #BlackPanther". "An hour early to the movie and now I'm late for work. Totally worth it. I absolutely love every second of it. The mid credit scene got me like," one user wrote with sad emojis, adding, "Chadwick is dearly missed and will forever be remembered".

"thinking about the wakanda forever mid-credit scene… i don’t think a credit scene has ever hurt me like that one," one user wrote, while another said, "Wakanda Forever is phenomenal. I need several days to recover emotionally— that end credit scene BROKE me". One user said, "#Wakandaforever end credit scene was the most beautiful, respectful, the best possible bookend, & also the new beginning of both T'Challa & Chadwick's legacy. T'Challa died & lives!"
