Less than a week before 'Black Adam's release, a BTS image revealed that another 'Peacemaker' character was set to return. Per DCEU's Twitter, Jennifer Holland is all set to reprise her role as Emilia Harcourt, one of the agents under Viola Davis's Amanda Waller in 'The Suicide Squad'. Her appearance also ensures that 'Black Adam' falls under the DCEU and is intertwined with some of the projects.

Harcourt is one of the rogue agents that get punished by Waller after helping Task Force X survive Starro's attack in 'The Suicide Squad'. In 'Peacemaker', she was tasked with babysitting John Cena's titular character and eventually works with him to stop the alien invasion. Holland had revealed details about Season 2 of the hit HBO Max show but had remained mum about involvement in the Dwayne Johnson flick.

"There might be, you know, hints to other things, but I don't know that he had any clear idea that there would be a Season 2 when he wrote Season 1," she told TV Line. "I think there's always the hope that [Season 2's] going to happen, but there's never really any conversation about it until you know how it's being received." With this, there was no clear indication that Holland would be in 'Black Adam'.

The movie is helmed by Jaume Collet-Serra and written by Adam Sztykiel, Rory Haines, and Sohrab Noshirvani. While the film stars Dwayne Johnson as the titular character alongside Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Quintessa Swindell, Bodhi Sabongui, and Pierce Brosnan, it has a special cameo by Henry Cavil as Superman.

The official synopsis of the movie reads, "From New Line Cinema, Dwayne Johnson stars in the action-adventure 'Black Adam'. The first-ever feature film to explore the story of the DC Super Hero comes to the big screen under the direction of Jaume Collet-Serra ('Jungle Cruise'). Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods—and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world."

'Black Adam' had its world premiere in Mexico City on October 3, 2022, and is scheduled to be released in the United States on October 21, 2022.
