Did Dwayne Johnson dish out a 'Black Adam 2' spoiler by hinting a team-up with Superman?
It's been doing the rounds on social media already, you know, the one where Henry Cavill's Superman shows up in the credits sequence of 'Black Adam'. It's a pity really, but Dwayne Johnson may just have unknowingly spoiled a massive sequel spoiler. Such has been the rousing response to the movie so far, that a sequel seems inevitable, and if the stars align, there'll hopefully be more of Cavill and Johnson in it.
However, going by Johnson's words, and this is pure speculation right off the bat, there might be a Superman and Black Adam team-up if DC gives the thumbs-up for a sequel. Speaking to Comicbook, the 'San Andreas' star teased what's ahead: "I don't know. I don't know," Johnson responded when asked if Black Adam and Superman could have a showdown on the big screen. "I think the question is, should it be the showdown? I don't know if that's the way to go. And when fans watch Black Adam and they see the end, and they really pay attention, as I know they will... as they pay attention to the words that were said, they pay attention to the nuance of the looks. We'll let that lead us."

He also added: "We can't go right there right away." Johnson added. "Now we've gotten to a great place where we've delivered for the audience. And when I say 'we're listening to the audience,' they know we mean it. And when we say, 'we're building up the DC Universe,' we mean it. This is what we mean. And when we say, 'welcome home,' you know who I'm talking about."
So will it be an Avengers-type thing, where anti-heroes do eventually suit up with the good guys? Clearly, that was observed in 'Age of Ultron' when Scarlet Witch did eventually become part of the Earth's mightiest heroes. With JSA in conversation, and a string of new characters being introduced in the film. Johnson's statement may have just given away what's in store for the DCEU in the years to come. Does that also mean Cavill is still the Man of Steel? Only time will tell.
'Black Adam' releases on October 21 in the US.
