Bachelor Nation slams ABC for making Theresa Turner wait at the aisle to air commercials during 'The Golden Weddidng'

PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA: The "royal couple's" live broadcast wedding is the first big TV event of 2024. However, this also meant networks trying to introduce advertising interrupting the lovely event, like exactly the one that viewers watched during 'The Golden Wedding'.

The event aired live on ABC at 8 pm Eastern. However, it will not be broadcast on the West Coast until 8 pm Pacific.

It will be accessible on Hulu on Friday.

The network went all out for the live event, which was held at the opulent La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs. The wedding marks the end of a tremendously successful season for the popular 'The Bachelor' series, with the spinoff focusing on Gerry Turner, a 72-year-old widower seeking a new life partner.

Another commercial break occurred before Theresa Nist came down the aisle to Gerry, and viewers are outraged.

On X, fans wrote, "Theresa waiting during the commercial break to walk down the aisle." Others demanded, "I need footage of what they do during commercial breaks… like are Gerry and Theresa just standing there?"

One user asked, "Producers be like “Theresa wait you can’t walk down the isle yet we need one more commercial in”" A fourth fan wrote, "You… you can’t take a commercial break during an actual wedding?"

A furious fan wrote, "Cutting to a commercial in the middle of the ceremony?!" Others noted, "Imagine having to pause your wedding for a commercial break."

Some felt, "This commercial break ruined the entire momentum." "ABC be serious, you can't be taking a commercial break in the middle of Gerry and Theresa's wedding," wrote another.

Where was 'The Golden Wedding' filmed?

In Palm Springs, California, at the La Quinta Resort & Club, scenes from 'The Golden Wedding' were shot. The resort served as the setting for Season 16 of 'The Bachelorette', which starred Tayshia Adams and Clare Crawley and was filmed during the pandemic.

The night's biggest surprise visitor just answered fans' most pressing question.

Runner-up on 'The Golden Bachelor' Leslie Fhima, appeared on the red carpet and spoke with emcee Kathy Swarts, who asked her what she wanted Gerry and Theresa to know.

"At our age, we have to celebrate love," she went on to say.

"I was very good friends with Theresa, we supported each other through the whole time in the house and all the way through this journey. I’m so happy for her and Gerry. I’m here at the end of the day to support love."

Ben Higgins of 'The Bachelor' Season 20 arrived soon after, leaving Kathy and Leslie in awe. Leslie danced with him before he walked away.

Jesse Palmer revealed he could miss birth of first child for 'The Golden Wedding'

Jesse Palmer, the host of 'The Bachelor,' said during the wedding webcast that he could miss the birth of his child.

"On a personal note, I actually wasn't sure that I was going to make it here," he told me.

"And that's because my beautiful wife Emely is at home right now, and we're expecting the birth of our very first child at any moment. Seriously, it could happen tonight."

He informed his wife he loves and misses her and asked her to "please call me if you need anything."

"I will leave here immediately," he said.

'The Golden Wedding' airing live on ABC on January 4 at 8 pm ET
