HUDSON, INDIANA: Gerry Turner has finally handed out his final rose. 

In the grand finale of 'The Golden Bachelor,' Turner chose Theresa Nist, leaving Leslie Fhima heartbroken.

In the concluding episode of the dating series, Gerry presented his final rose to Theresa, and she accepted.

Shortly after, Theresa expressed her heartfelt emotions, saying, "It didn't seem real - it was like every dream I had come true."

However, fans of the show weren't pleased with Turner's ultimate decision, expressing their opinions on social media.

An X user wrote, "I’m not going to lie… in no way, shape or form did I think Gerry was going to choose Theresa #TheGoldenBachelor #GoldenBachelor." One user commented, "Gerry chose the wrong person tonight. #GoldenBachelor."

A social media user chimed in, "When Joan left the show, I told someone that she is the one he needs to go for. But now, I’m not sure she needs him. I’ve never been in the Theresa camp, but… here we are. #GoldenBachelor."

Followed by a user who penned, "The golden bachelor is breaking me hearttt." A person said, "Theresa, just this one lawyer’s opinion but get a prenuptial - and fast! Read the @THR story proposition!#GoldenBachelor."

Another user quipped, "So glad this season of the golden bachelor is over my god."

Who was the runner-up of 'The Golden Bachelor'?

And the runner-up of 'The Golden Bachelor' was Leslie Fhima.

Leslie Fhima, a 64-year-old fitness instructor from Minneapolis, Minnesota, was a finalist on the first season of 'The Golden Bachelor' which starred Garry Turner.

As per bio on 'The Golden Bachelor' Season 1, "Leslie may best be known as a former professional figure skater, but this woman has way more going on than what meets the eye. Outside of her love for figure skating and dancing, Leslie is now a personal trainer and is passionate about helping others live their best lives. She has run 10 marathons and is looking for her running buddy for life."

It further read, "When she isn’t working at the gym, Leslie is an incredible mom to her three kids and “glama” to her three grandkids. She also loves spending time with her mini Aussiedoodle, Billie. Leslie is looking for a real man who will enhance her life, and she’s ready to put it all on the line to pursue love."

Where did Leslie Fhima and Gerry Turner's relationship go wrong?

Leslie asked Gerry where their relationship went wrong. He replied, "It didn't really go wrong, Leslie. It was just better with someone else."

Turner expressed to Leslie that he felt immense guilt and would always struggle to forgive himself for his actions towards her. He explained that he couldn't think of a better, more considerate approach to handle the situation.

Leslie responded by acknowledging that she comprehended his apology, although she was unsure if she fully accepted it.

Leslie Fhima gets emotional after Gerry Turner's rejection

Loving you is a losing game and that's pretty relevant in Leslie and Gerry's case. After Gerry turned down Leslie, she got pretty emotional.  While sobbing, she told him, "You made it sound like you chose me."

Fhima continued, "You led me down a path and then you took a turn and left me there. And that's how I feel." He told her that he's made his final decision. 

Gerry said, "I have fallen in love with Theresa, and that's the direction I'm going to take."
