Who is Theresa Nist's brother? Gerry Turner yet to meet bride-to-be's bodybuilder sibling before 'The Golden Wedding'
NEW BRUNSWICK, NEW JERSEY: The brother of 'The Golden Wedding' star Theresa Nist has said that he won't meet her fiance, Gerry Turner, until her dream wedding day. Though the show's lead got to meet most of Theresa's clan during the hometown dates and live 'The Golden Bachelor' finale, he hasn't yet met her brother, Vinny Galanti.
Vinny explained to The US Sun in an exclusive interview why he won't be able to meet Gerry until the big live broadcast event on January 4.
"There's so much going on right now. We're probably not going to see him until the wedding," Vinny said during an interview at a Powerhouse Gym where he works.
"I'm trying, and my sisters are too. We're trying to give her space a little bit because we know this is stressful, and she's getting a lot of texts all day long."
"It's been difficult the last two weeks to track her down. This was probably the first time that the three of us haven't been in touch with her," he added, referring to himself and his two sisters, Mary and Charlotte.
"Her world is probably all over the place right now."
The bodybuilder revealed that he spoke briefly with Gerry over the phone on the night of the finale before Theresa was carried away.
"I did get to say to him, 'Hey, I can't wait to meet you.' And that was about it so far," he said.
After marking their first appearance as an engaged pair in Los Angeles, Gerry and Theresa flew to New York City for a press tour. They then visited the financial services professional's Christmas party in New Jersey before heading out to Gerry's hometown in Indiana.

The brother of Theresa is unconcerned about Gerry's irate former partner. Before the 'The Golden Bachelor' finale aired, Gerry's ex-girlfriend released a shocking exposé.
The lady, who went by Carolyn, claimed that she was abandoned after gaining ten pounds as a result of stress and that she had a secret three-year affair with the show's lead. Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Gerry's ex-wife said that she had to foot the bill for living in his Indiana house, which came to $850 a month, and that she also had to pay half the bill for restaurant meals.
Vinny now discusses his family's response to the news with The US Sun in an exclusive interview with Theresa's brother.
"I said to Theresa early on, 'My world of bodybuilding is this big, and you're going to have this massive exposure, bigger than I've ever experienced."
"But, I can tell you that negative stuff is going to come out of all of this. People are going to talk really bad about you, and a storyline is going to develop somewhere,'" he expressed.
He went on to add that his 14-year-old sister "passed me off a little bit" and that he "did not think" it would happen.
She was then confronted with "horrible insults on social media" and the narrative from Gerry's ex-girlfriend.
"There are three sides to every story - his side, her side, and the truth," Vinny explained, alluding to Carolyn's account.
"My family goes back to, 'Alright, it's a TV show, and this is what they do. This is how they get ratings.'"
"So nah, nobody was really concerned about it because I think if that were true, I think Theresa would've addressed it privately with him. And that's their business, nobody else's."
In terms of Theresa's background, the bodybuilder said that his sister hasn't brought home a person since the death of her late husband, Bill Nist, in 2014.
He said, with a grin, "We heard about a guy she dated here and there, but nothing serious."

According to Vinny, Theresa's close-knit Italian family will come out to California on January 2 and remain until January 7.
"We're happy. My whole family is going. Everyone's getting flown. So all expenses paid - airfare and hotels," Vinny revealed.
"A lot of my family members have never experienced any of this stuff before. I've traveled a lot in my career for bodybuilding, and I'm used to it, so it's going to be pretty cool just to see their faces on how they're going to get treated."
Theresa's direct family consists of her brother, two sisters, Mary and Charlotte, as well as her son Tommy, and daughter Jen.
She also has six grandchildren, three of whom were able to attend the hometown dates. Vinny also mentioned that several of their friends and family from her late husband Billy's side will be attending the wedding.
Aside from the family being taken on a "vacation," according to Theresa's brother, everyone is "100 percent" fine with the rapid engagement.
"They both have chemistry. They both enjoy each other. Why not?" Vinny remarked, "They only live once."
