'American Song Contest' Semifinals 1: Twitter defends Oklahoma's AleXa over lip-syncing claims
It's now crunch time for the artists on 'American Song Contest' as the show enters the semifinals segment. The semifinals are divided into two parts, with the first round featuring 11 artists performing the same original number again. The jury will then only send one artist to the final round.
The audience also has the power to vote for four other performances that will then make it to the finals. Taking on the stage in Semi-Finals 1 are Alabama – Ni/Co, Colorado – Riker Lynch. Kentucky – Jordan Smith, Massachusetts – Jared Lee, Michigan – Ada LeAnn, Montana – Jonah Prill, New Hampshire – MARi, Oklahoma – AleXa, Rhode Island – Hueston, Washington – Allen Stone and Wyoming – Ryan Charles.

Oklahoma's AleXa was certainly bringing a lot of energy to the show, seeing that she even made a TikTok dance challenge for her song, 'Wonderland', which had everyone grooving to it. She explained that she hoped to be among some of the great artists from Oklahoma, such as Carrie Underwood and Garth Brooks. When it came to her performance, fans were fiercely supportive of AleXa, seeing that there were claims being made that she was lipsyncing.
"I just know there would still be people that would say "that ain't live vocals" Just accept the fact that there are really talented artists that can sing while flying and dancing. And AleXa is one of those! " tweeted a fan.
