Being on the 'ASC' stage for Montana's Jonah Prill was an honor, seeing that even though he performed across Wyoming and Montana, he hadn't been on a platform as big as the show. Prill spoke about how his music often surprised people in a good way, seeing it is not often you hear a modern country song. However, when it came down to his live performance, it looked like his song, 'Fire It Up', lacked spark.

While Prill's performance wasn't the best of the night, fans caught on quick to the fan service he came with, seeing that he took his jacket off towards the end of it. And as always, they certainly had something to say about it! "I didn't understand how Montana made it to the Semifinals and I don't see it moving on to the Grand Finale. I'm just happy someone told him to stop swiping with his hand like he was a cat knocking stuff off of a shelf. #AmericanSongContest" tweeted a fan. "Song 8: Montana. It's fun! Very yeehaw. So much hay. Honestly it does feel very authentically Montana. #AmericanSongContest" noted another. "Montana's thirst trap flopped for me sorry jonah  #americansongcontest" tweeted another. "
