With every passing week the new NBC singing competition 'American Song Contest' raises the stakes as states compete to advance to the next round by winning votes with their original songs.

'American Song Contest' which is the American spin on the world-famous 'Eurovision' competition saw Jordan Smith who represents Kentucky move to the semifinals joining Oklahoma, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. With hope still there for other teams to advance, this is what fans had to say about Kansas' Broderick Jones' new song.

Kansas' representative in the contest Broderick Jones brought on the creativity with his performance and aimed to go to the semifinals. Starting off by praising his state and the people he said that he loved the farms, barbeque, and more. He shared his love for skateboarding and said that it taught him hard work and discipline that he believes will take him far in life. His original song titled 'Tell Me' was a mix of different genres like a ballad with R&B lyrics and even an EDM drop. 

He gave a very engaging performance that even featured dancers alongside him as he continued to switch up styles with the song full of creative spins. Fans who tuned in love the staging and his take on an original song. Host Snoop Dogg too, said he loved the EDM drop and called it well produced. Here's what viewers had to say.
