Cameron Whitcomb slammed for NOT taking 'competition seriously' after ignoring Bebe Rexha's advice
Cameron Whitcomb pulled off his signature backflips during his top 24 performance aired on Monday, April 11 despite mentor Bebe Rexha asking him not to move much on stage. The young crooner soon became the hot gossip on Twitter amongst ‘American Idol’ fans as many claimed that he was not taking the competition seriously. The 18-year-old from Canada sang ‘Bad Moon Rising’ by Creedence Clearwater Revival and left all the judges amused with his highly energetic awkward movements on stage.
Cameron Whitcomb was seen doing backflips and jumping around the stage throughout his performance. Speaking of his set, Katy Perry said, “I understand now why you have to flip because if you don’t get a burst of energy out, Lionel and I think maybe you’ll just blow up. At first, I thought, ‘He’s going into all these bad habits we told you not to do. Calm down! Calm down!’ But then when your voice went into the reggae, it was really cool” adding, “I don’t know what kind of case study you are, but honestly, you should bathe in lavender oil.” Luke Bryan too chimed and asked him to keep doing what he does best.
