Sir Blayke aka Charlton “Blayke” Ridgell's journey in life has been anything but easy. Despite all the curveballs that life threw his way, the 28-year-old's determination to make a name for himself in the music industry prompted him to try out for 'American Idol' Season 20.

From the get-go, the judges kept pushing Sir Blayke to be more confident and express himself. The Los Angeles resident did exactly that and managed to earn a spot on the Top 24 performers list. With the help of guest mentor Bebe Rexha, Sir Blayke worked on perfecting his vocals to The Script's 'Breakeven'. Despite practicing hard, and putting his best foot forward, sadly Sir Blayke's performance failed to hit the mark. Though his voice was great, his breath control and the wrong song choice worked against him.

I feel like there's something missing from him and I fear he might be in danger especially if we're looking at fb stats. I hope he is safe cause he gave a great performance. He just has to find himself and let go." "I think the excitement and pressure has made his breath control a problem here. Happens to everyone but I hope the voters give him the one pass!" wrote a fan. "Damn!!! This hurts my heart cuz this kid has an incredible voice...unfortunately I think it was the wrong song choice...he struggled with his breath control & it thru his pitch off," added a fan.

"I love his voice but the breath control needed work in places and I don't think the rearrangement did him any favors," pointed out a fan.
