'American Idol' Top 24: Fans say Christian Guardino 'does not disappoint ever' post his performance
Christian Guardino is slowly emerging as the dark horse of 'American Idol' Season 20. The Long Island resident managed to consistently impress both judges and fans alike with his stellar performances week after week while continuing to maintain a very low profile.
After wowing the judges with his Hollywood Week and Showstopper round performances, Christian earned a spot on the Top 24 performers list. Determined to prove that he belonged in the singing competition show, he picked Silk Sonic's 'Leave the Door Open' to showcase his vocal prowess to the world. Under the guidance of guest mentor Bebe Rexha, Christian worked on his notes and techniques to ensure that his final performance would leave the audience with no choice but to vote for him. When it was finally time for Christian to perform before the live audience, he delivered one of his best performances yet. Katy Perry was so impressed that she conferred superhero status upon him, while Lionel Richie continued to be puzzled over how his vocals and appearance don't line up.

Just like the judges, fans too loved his performance and took to the comments section of the show's YouTube page to shower him with praises. A fan commented, "Dang..... Dude does not disappoint ever!" "Finally someone who can sing. Great song choice. Love his tone," wrote a fan. "I love Christian. Now that Kenedi has left I would LOVE him to win. He is ridiculous!" added a fan.
Many fans are already rooting for Christian to win the season. A fan declared, "Certainly a lot of great talent this year but if this guy doesn’t win the show is rigged." "Now here is the winner of American Idol 2022 no contestant compared to him at all ooweeeeee," shared a fan. "Yesssssss. He's my favourite guy and I think he could win!" expressed a fan. "

Since the audience will be deciding with their votes as to which contestants get to proceed to the next round and which two get sent home, we'll have to wait until the next episode to see how things pan out for Christian.
