'American Idol' viewers slam Lucy Love for 'angry' expressions, urge singer to 'show gratitude'

Lucy Love's lack of enthusiasm on stage irks viewers, 'American Idol' fans urge singer to lighten up

BRENTWOOD, CALIFORNIA: As the top 12 of 'American Idol' were announced, the remaining top 20 had to battle for their lives in the competition. Despite the fact that participant Lucy Love had to defend her position in the competition more than once, viewers were not impressed with her stage presence, despite the fact that she is a brilliant vocalist.

During the April 24 episode of 'American Idol,' the top 20 were reduced to the top 12. All 20 contestants competed and they were placed in either the victory or danger zones. The judges chose two additional finalists after the top 10 finalists were revealed. In the end, 8 participants were eliminated, which irritated spectators who dislike watching many eliminations over two nights. Even though Lucy found her way back into the competition fans still have complaints.

Lucy doesn't get viewers' vote

Lucy demonstrated her skills by performing an original song on the April 23 episode. It should have been enough to push her over the edge, but it didn't. Country performers are flying into the Top 10, while other genres are suffering. Lucy did not make the top 12, but she battles hard for the judges' choice. Her performance of Imagine Dragons' 'Radioactive' wows everyone. This performance reveals a very different side to her. She had a distinct stage presence, performing soul, pop, and rock tunes. The panel of judges adores her. Her name was being chanted by the audience. "If I have to bet on anybody," Lionel Richie stated, "I'm going to bet on you."

'Lighten up! You're looking so angry!'

Despite Lucy advancing in the competition owing to Judges' pick, fans on Twitter wrote, "Am I the only one that is beyond annoyed with how Lucy Love acts?" Another person chimed in, "Lucy Love is a sad sob story and that’s why she was saved. She didn’t even look or act grateful. She looks like she is angry and trying to hold in a fart." A third person commented, "Lucy Love, lighten up! You're looking so angry! Last night when she made it, instead of graciously turning to her fellow contestants, she pumped her fists and angrily took the stage. Now she’s smacking her fist into her hand. Part of this is likability." One viewer tweeted, " I like Lucy Loves voice and backstory but I‘m not sure what she’s been doing the last two nights with her facial expressions and gestures like she’s about to take the ring in a WEE match."

Speaking of her vibe, one wrote, "lucy love’s vibes are off idk. emu won’t she smile. she just stares into the camera like she’s gonna m word everyone #yikes." One person asked, "Lucy looks she wants to fight someone ?!?" Another exclaimed, "no way lucy is singing for the save.." One commented, "Lucy has a not so nice personality.."

One fan wrote, "@lukebryan @LionelRichie Perhaps Lucy Love should be reminded that a lot of great singers are sitting at home while she is still on this national stage.
