'AGT: Fantasy League': Country music trio Chapel Hart fails to impress viewers in semi-final showdown
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: During the semi-finals of the NBC spin-off show 'America's Got Talent: Fantasy League', Chapel Hart performed the song 'This Girl Likes Fords'.
The country music trio delivered a powerful performance on the grand stage of the popular show and received a standing ovation from the panel of judges that included Heidi Klum, Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and Mel B.
Simon Cowell gushed over Chapel Hart's performance and said, “This is the second time that the girls have written their own song and that says a lot about them. That says, in my opinion, that you are the real deal. Since we first met you all those few years ago, I think you got better and better and better. This is so important to them. I think they deserve this shot to get into the finals. I genuinely do."
Mel B chimed in, “Country pop is not usually my go-to music but you’ve made me fall in love with this genre of music. It’s happy; it’s feel good, and to say you’ve written your own song, you have everything in there that I love in a song. You’ve got your harmonies, your breakdown, your story, your lyrics, brilliant.”
Heidi added, "You guys are amazing. I think there’s no question why you’re having the success you are having. I think you hit and struck a chord here. I wish you the best of luck.”
However, it looks like the netizens didn't like the group's performance.
A social media user wrote, "V.Good but not winner material for this."
Another chimed in, "They are ok, but I don't think they are good enough to win."
Someone else penned, "Boriiing."
A user went on to say, "That was so bad, cheap talent!"
One person commented, "Honestly it's totally boring. I don't see any extra effort. Just sing. It's common."
