Will Chapel Hart advance to ‘AGT: Fantasy League’ semifinal? NBC show contestant gets standing ovation for emotional redemption act
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Chapel Hart aka sisters Danica and Devynn Hart, and their cousin Trea Swindle returned to 'America's Got Talent: Fantasy League' with a very emotional redemption performance. The trio sisters performed their original song, 'American Pride' which they sang during the 'AGT' Season 17 finale.
Although the song didn't help Chapel Hart win the previous season of the NBC show, the contestants hope they can secure a spot in the semifinals of 'AGT: Fantasy League'.
During the latest episode of 'AGT: Fantasy League', Chapel Hart's redemption performance was applauded by the live audience as well as the judges.
Chapel Hart notably received a standing ovation from all four judges of the NBC show, Mel B, Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum as well as from the audience. Mel praised the contestants' performance noting, "I could just tell how much you want this and the energy coming off that stage everybody go out of their seats and that's saying something. I loved it."
Howie complimented, "The fact that you sang that song again and we are living a times we are living in I felt like that was an anthem." He hoped that the audience could also see their talent and advance them to the semifinals and noted, "Only five acts can go through and I want you to be one of them but it's up to the voting audience."
Heidi was also impressed with Chapel Hart's performance and said, "I mean Chapel Hart, you are the fans' favourite, you're my personal favourite. Love you girls." She added, "I also love the way you looked today and I know that he [Simon] had nothing to do with that."
Meanwhile, Simon noted, "This tonight was about redemption and you know what you absolutely nailed it." He further claimed, "I got to know the ladies pretty well and I can tell you this they are sincere... they had no uneasy time getting Nashville to get behind them and never gave up."
Simon also hoped that the audience vote for Chapel Hart and send them to the semifinals "because you really deserve it".
Chapel Hart excited about being mentored by Simon Cowell
'AGT: Fantasy League' contestant, Chapel Hart eagerly wanted Simon Cowell to be their mentor because he always believed in them. So when they received a call from Simon, the sister trio jumped with excitement and shouted loudly.
Danica Hart claimed, "Simon is the ultimate group mentor."
However, during the mentor session, Simon suggested to the trio, "If you want my honest opinion, I think you should redo 'American Pride'."
Devynn Hart noted that re-doing the song could be a risk when the world had seen them falling on their face. But Simon explained, "This song is a hit, It's really really is a hit, and I think this song needs a big ending but most importantly people got to listen to the lyrics of that song. America chose you for a reason."

Chapel Hart tearfully recalls their 'AGT' Season 17 journey
Chapel Hart made it to the Top 5 finalists on 'AGT' Season 17 but they failed to win the competition. However, the musical group recently recalled the emotional journey of rising to fame.
Danica Hart recalled, "Before coming to AGT there was a lot of NOs and a lot of closed doors." She then referenced the moment when Chapel Hart received the first group Golden Buzzer and noted, "We look up and hear Simon counting down... it felt like the world make sense..."
However, Danica then recalled the moment when the country group lost the competition, "I remember having the hope that we could really win. We decided to do our original song, 'American Pride'."
Danica's sister, Devynn Hart, added that singing their original song made them nervous and they were crying throughout their performance. Chapel Hart's emotional performance was criticized by the 'AGT' judges.
Simon Cowell wished that the final performance was an audition so he could ask Chapel Hart to sing the chorus a capella and soak up the vocal harmonies. Meanwhile, Howie Mandell was also not impressed with the performance and noted that it felt like nerves got the better of them and the group's other performances were better.
'America's Got Talent: Fantasy League' airs on Mondays at 8 pm ET on NBC.
