LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Heidi Klum's dream team member, Yu Hojin received some negative criticism from some of the judges after his 'America's Got Talent: Fantasy League' semifinal performance. Even though many people seemed to like the performance, Mel B and Simon Cowell, were left perplexed.

Heidi introduced her last team member to the stage with Yu Hojin's magic act on the February 5 episode, which depicted a love story using sleight-of-hand feats. Heidi stated that he "always invents something new" in his performances and "keeps surprising us".

Mel B professed to not understand the story he was telling with the magic, and convinced a few individuals in the audience to agree with her. Howie Mandel said that it didn't matter if you understood the plot; the magic was effective.

Simon also acknowledged to being perplexed, resulting in a significant disagreement on the judges' dais about whether he did enough to go to the finals.

On X, fans slammed the judges writing, "Wow! Judges were really harsh! I thought it was perfect! What I saw here at home was Smooth like butter! I loved him!!!"

Another user chimed in, "I don't know what @OfficialMelB and @SimonCowell were talking about. I thought he did great and I understood what was going on."

One user snarked at the judges saying, "Wonderful, engaging, sweet magic!! @SimonCowell and Mel B, the story is love!"

A fourth person asked, "He was amazing! How can you not understand that act!!???"

One person tweeted, "He's amazing regardless of the judges comments."

Another added, "So frustrating. Someone just exhibits a unique skill, and 2 judges and four audience members need a defined story. Ignorance at its best. Yet Simon will go goo goo over singers that basically are a dime a dozen, with extreme over-reactions. Give me a break."

One user wrote, "Great. I disagree with the judges."

Did Yu Hojin make it to 'America's Got Talent: Fantasy League' finale?

With just one position remaining in the finals, Terry Crews invited the eight artists to the stage to announce the top three vote-getters from tonight's semifinal.

Adrian Stoica & Hurricane, Kseniya Simonova, and Shadow Ace were the three acts who advanced, making Yu Hojin drop out of the running to the finals.

He did not garner enough votes to make it to the top three of the night. He was, therefore, eliminated from the competition.
