'A Boy Called Christmas': 5 things you didn't know about Maggie Smith and the cast
Netflix is all set to welcome the holiday season with a sure-to-be favorite across all age groups with 'A Boy Called Christmas', written and directed by Gil Kenan.
'A Boy Called Christmas' follows the story of how Father Christmas came into being, the adventures that a little boy gears up in order to search for his father, who on the other hand, is on a quest himself to discover the village of Elfhelm. The holiday special will see Henry Lawfull and Maggie Smith in the lead, among others.

Henry Lawfull as Nikolas
Henry Lawfull is an up and coming child actor. Lawfull is known for his prominent roles in 'A Boy Called Christmas' and 'Les Miserables'.
Maggie Smith as Aunt Ruth
Dame Margaret Natalie Smith, professionally known as Maggie Smith, is a popular English actress, with an extensive career, both on stage and on screen, which began in the mid-1950s, with her film debut in 'Child in the House'.
Ever since her debut, Smith has gone on to perform in a total of over sixty films and TV series, some of which include 'Tea with Mussolini', 'Gosford Park', and 'Othello'.
For her stupendous performance in 'The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie' (1969), and 'California Suite' (1978), Smith was nominated for an Oscar about six times and even won twice!
She was honored as a Dame by Queen Elizabeth II in 1990 for her services to performing arts. Smith also received the Companion of Honour from the Queen in 2014 in recognition of her long stage, film and TV career.
Also in the early 21st century Smith played Professor Minerva McGonagall in the film adaptations of J.K. Rowling’s popular Harry Potter series, and she provided a voice for the animated Shakespeare spoof Gnomeo & Juliet (2011) and its sequel, Sherlock Gnomes (2018).
