Dua Lipa approached country singer Chris Stapleton to sing together at the '59th ACM Awards 2024'
Chris described Dua as the "queen of feel-good music." Being a huge fan of his work, Dua reached out to Chris and proposed the idea of performing together. In a backstage interview with Bobby Bones, the couple claimed they completed the duet in just two days.
Dua Lipa recently dropped a 'bit more raw' album
Dua recently debuted her new album, "Radical Optimism," explaining that it was inspired by "the idea of going through chaos gracefully and feeling like you can weather any storm." She drew inspiration from British pop acts like Blur, Oasis, and others for this project.
"This record feels a bit more raw," she told Rolling Stone in a January cover story. "I want to capture the essence of youth and freedom and having fun, and just letting things happen, whether it’s good or bad. You can’t change it. You just have to roll with the punches of whatever’s happening in your life."
Chris Stapleton thrives in live performances
Chris' award show performances are usually must-sees. At the 2022 ACMs, he performed a fierce rendition of "Watch You Burn."
In 2021, he collaborated with Miranda Lambert for a heartfelt duet on "Maggie's Song." At the 2016 concert, he belted out the fan favorite "Fire Away."
Earlier this month, Chris had a fascinating performance on 'The Jennifer Hudson Show', performing "Loving You on My Mind" alongside Hudson and the War and Treaty.
