Everyone was really happy when it was announced that Zack Snyder will be directing the ‘Justice League’ movie for DC and Warner Bros. The filmmaker, who received a lot of praise for directing ‘Man of Steel’, was set to don the director’s hat for the superhero movie and give a new direction to the DC Extended Universe. However, a tragedy struck Snyder's household and he had to step down from directorial duties during the post-production of the film.

It was revealed that Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder’s daughter Autumn died by suicide in 2017, forcing the filmmaker to get away from filmmaking and be with his family. With five years now gone since the film’s theatrical release, Snyder recently took a moment to pay an emotional tribute to his daughter and made everyone emotional by writing a touching note on social media.

The filmmaker shared a black-and-white picture of the film reel of ‘Justice League’, which premiered in theatres in 2017. First, he acknowledged that it had been five years since the film was released. On the other hand, he also paid a touching tribute to his daughter, who died in the same year as well. Snyder shared a motivational quote that his daughter used in her life and signed everything with it. The quote read, “The goal is not to live forever, but to create something that does.” On the other hand, he expressed gratitude toward everyone who made Zack Snyder’s ‘Justice League’ possible and noted that those who helped in making the movie honored his daughter.

He added, “Not only by your massive fundraising effort for mental health but by having had a hand in creating something that will live forever. And for that, I am eternally grateful.”

Joe Manganiello, who played the role of Deathstroke in the DCEU, replied to Snyder’s post and “thanked” him for everything. He tweeted, “Thank you for everything Zack. To many more fun adventures.”

Meanwhile, a lot of fans chipped and paid tribute to Autumn as well. They also thanked Snyder for his contribution and said that his movies 'saved many lives'. One of the fans wrote, "For Autumn." Another fan tweeted, "Thank you is not enough for what you did" You gave us the best cbms." Another social media user wrote, "Thank you for creating something so special and heartfelt. I think when those end credits hit, we all felt the love, pain, and joy that went into this. Thank you for being you. For Autumn."

"First of all, For Autumn. And also I just wanted to thank you, for always being there, supporting us, and giving us these amazing movies. Personally, MOS and ZSJL helped me through some dark times (and certainly many other people too). Thank you," wrote another user. "We can’t honor her or you enough," wrote another fan.

When Snyder got away from his directorial duties, Joss Whedon stepped in and finished the movie. The movie turned out to be a huge box-office bomb because of some of the decisions taken by Whedon. The failure forced fans to run the ‘Release the Snyder Cut’ movement for a few years and Warner Bros. had to give in to the demands of the fans. ‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’ was released on HBO Max in 2021 and received positive reviews from critics as well as audiences.

With James Gunn and Peter Safran taking control of DC Studios, fans have been demanding the new management to restore the Snyderverse and give a chance to Snyder to make more movies in the DC Extended Universe. A new ‘Man of Steel’ movie has already been announced and fans are hoping to see Snyder directing the sequel as well.
