The pop singer was asked, "Katy can you believe it's been seven years and now you've announced it's time to say goodbye?" Katy teased that her departure was not permanent and said, "For now."
She added that Idol has "healed her heart" and that she loved being on this journey with Lionel, Luke, and Ryan. Lionel chimed in and noted that they would hold Katy's spot. However, Katy added that they should "keep her seat warm."
