After the second battle round between Karen Waldrup and Ryan Argast, coaches shared their thoughts on the stunning performance.

John Legend playfully criticized Dan + Shay for choosing their own song for the battle round but ultimately praised the Ryan and Karen for their outstanding performance. John confided in Ryan that there were moments when he felt as though he was yelling. He also mentioned that if he had to make a choice, he would prefer to be with Karen.

Reba McEntire told Karen that she thought she was great and she told Ryan that she loved that 'growl' in his voice.

Chance the Rapper had favorable things to say about both individuals, but he leaned a little more towards expressing admiration for Karen.

Dan Smyers told Karen that he saw a resemblance between her and a rock singer, and he praised her for successfully incorporating her own style into the song, which he believes she did an exceptional job with.
