'American Idol' Season 22 contestant Hailey Mia gets quickest yeses from the judges

SANTA BARBARA, CALIFORNIA: 'American Idol' Season 22 Audition 2 night is here! The 16-year-old Hailey Mia set the bar high singing Katy Perry's 'Rise.'

Fans quickly recognized her as a finalist from 'The Voice' Season 21, where she secured fourth place. Some believe her participation in 'American Idol' might not be fair to other budding artists. A fan claimed, "Hailey Mia is top 10 material." Seeing Hailey get a quick yeses from the judges, a fan wrote, "Hailey gets three QUICK yes's and she's through (oh she was on THE VOICE Season 21 -- I KNEW I recognized her)." One tweeted, "okayyyy hailey mia setting the bar high this episode."

Another wondered, "Hailey mia literally placed 4th on #thevoice so why is she auditioning on #americanidol." Another said with certainty, "Hailey mia is going to hollywood #AmericanIdol." Another praised the teen star, "hailey mia did such an incredible job with Katy's song. Loved it! Also so cool seeing a The Voice alumni audition for Idol! #AmericanIdol."

All the three judges, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie give a standing ovation to Hailey. As they rose after the 16-year-old's performance, Katy said, "We all rose." Lionel claimed, "We did not see that coming." Katy further praised the singer, saying, "That was inspiring." Katy claimed that she was "re-inspired" by Hailey's singing, which left her feelings and experiencing emotions all over again. Luke, on the other hand, dubbed Hailey's audition to be his "favorite audition" until now. Hailey received praise for "re-inventing" Katy's song and making it her own.

Hailey received the quickest yes in 'American Idol' Season 22. The judges wasted no time expressing their desire for the singer to advance to Hollywood week. Together, all three said, "You're going to Hollywood." It is revealed that Hailey will allegedly make it to the semi-finals of 'American Idol' Season 22.
