Who is Sariah Wertman? 'American Idol' Season 22 contestant fails to advance to Hollywood Week despite Katy Perry's 'yes'
VERONA, MISSOURI: 'American Idol' Season 22 contestant Sariah Wertman, 23, is a singer and an actress. She is originally from Idaho but currently resides in Branson, Missouri. She attended, BYU-Pathway Worldwide in 2018, according to her LinkedIn. Sariah pursued an associate's degree in General Sciences Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management from Brigham Young University, Idaho.
She loves storytelling and currently works as a server at Mel’s Hard Luck Diner. The ABC show contestant also has some acting experience as she was an ensemble actress in a local production of Hello, Dolly. She has also appeared in other productions at the Springfield Little Theatre. She loves singing and never misses a chance to show her talent.
Unfortunately, Sariah failed to get the platinum ticket to Hollywood. During the audition round, Sariah performed 'Over The Rainbow' by Judy Garland. Sariah looked stunning in a shimmery satin dress styled with a furry coat. However, the contestant slowly dropped her coat which left Katy Perry stunned. Luke Bryan was quick to say 'no' to Sariah followed by Linoel Richie.
Meanwhile, Katy seemed to be impressed with Sariah's performance. Katy said, "I'm not sure it's right for the 'idol', but I ain't giving you a no." She added, "I'm gonna give you a yes." Sadly, Sariah needed a minimum of two 'yes' to advance through the auditions. The contestant put a smile on her face after Katy's comment and said before leaving the room, "Thank you so much. Have a wonderful night."
Sariah Wertman works as a singing Server at a diner
'American Idol' Season 22 contestant Sariah Wertman has melded her passion for singing to her workplace. She works as a singing Server at Mel's Hard Luck Diner in Branson. The ABC show contestant entertains her viewers with her acoustics.
She shared a series of videos from her workplace and noted in the caption, "The newest singing Server at Mel's Hard Luck Diner!!(~me~)." She also shared her schedule for her fans to catch up her performance and noted, "I sing every Monday and Tuesday evening from 2-close... come request me."
Sariah also teased her debut single which fans could only purchase at her diner. She shared, "My CD is OUT!! For purchase only at Mel's Hard Luck Diner in Branson! Ft some sneak peeks in the car with yours truly."

Sariah Wertman was excited about her 'American Idol' Season 22 debut
Sariah Wertman was quite excited for her 'American Idol' Season 22 gig. She teased her ABC show gig in multiple social media posts. Sariah shared a photo of herself with 'Idol' backdrop and penned in the caption, "I auditioned for @americanidol!! Tune in to ABC starting Sunday, February 18 to see if I got the golden ticket to Hollywood… ."
In another post, Sariah shared a photo of her heels and noted, "There’s no place like @americanidol..." Although Sariah failed to advance to Hollywood week, she definitely created a fan base which could only help her singing career.
