Why is JYP leaving Jeongyeon out? Label releases TWICE’s concert DVD with just 8 members

Off lately, many fans have noticed JYP Entertainment becoming one of those labels that seem to be good at their job but somehow, at the same time, not good at it. It seems like the way the label treated GOT7 in the past has now been extended to TWICE and requests from fans of the group are constantly being ignored by the label despite TWICE being the biggest money makers for the label.

Over the last few months, fans have been vocal about how member Jeongyeon of TWICE is being mistreated by her label and and how her mental and physical health issues are cited as a way to keep her out of pivotal events that include all other members of the girl group. From Jeongyeon being trolled online over her changing weight that pertains to medical issues to Tzyuyu being left out of the DVD version of TWICE’s Japanese album, fans are noticing a lot of mistreatment with certain members of TWICE.

JYP Entertainment announces DVD for TWICE’s only concert without Jeongyeon

Back in March 2022, Dispatch released a poster of their D’Festa concert with Jeongyeon missing from it as she was supposedly on her temporary hiatus, fans revolted against the label for keeping the singer out of the poster as they declared ‘TWICE is nine’.

Now, with JYP announcing the DVD release of TWICE’s fourth World Tour ‘III’, fans are calling the label out for being inconsiderate about Jeongyeon and leaving her out. JYP Entertainment announced the release of a BluRay and DVD version of TWICE’s Seoul Concert that took place over three days in December 2021. Since it was a period when Jeongyeon had already been on a hiatus, the member of TWICE had been missing from the three-day show for genuine reasons.

Other than that, Jeonyeon has been a vital part of the TWICE concerts that later took place in the USA as well as in Japan. With seven USA shows from February 2022 and recently three from Japan’s Tokyo Dome making a total of 10 concert days to choose from, fans are pointing out how JYP Entertainment is showing their bias by choosing from the only three days that did not have TWICE as a whole.

‘TWICE is nine or none’

Despite eight out of nine members of TWICE being part of the Seoul Concert, fans are telling JYP that they will not purchase the BluRay DVD because of their failure to include OT9 TWICE members in the concert DVD. One fan siad, “They had like 6 other shows with jeongyeon in it and better crowds.” One fan said, “Keep it.” One fan said, “Jeongyeon has been excluded from more merch as an “excuse” for her hiatus where in reality it isn’t an excuse. She’s a member of @JYPETWICE and even if they do quit her at least respect her name and legacy’s for the group. NINE OR NONE.”

One angry fan said, “Announce a OT9 US dvd, or else I’m not buying anything. And don’t tell me it’s ‘impossible’ or bs like ‘they don’t have enough time to set up’- they have HD cams at every show already, it’s just a lack of will from JYPE bc they know Onces will still eat up an inferior product.” Another fan asked, “WHY WOULD YOU DO THE ONLY CONCERT WHERE JEONGYEON IS NOT IN IT THO?” One fan warned, “Patiently waiting for US and tokyo dome dvd otherwise u will be dealt with.”
