Recently released 'Survivor' 50 Episode 8 featured two eliminations. As a result, two contestants, Benjamin 'Coach' Wade and Chrissy Hofbeck, were sent home. After leaving the CBS show, Coach appeared on 'The Pod Has Spoken' podcast on April 17, 2026. He spoke with the show's hosts, Tyson and Riley, and revealed some details about his elimination. He recalled that one of the contestants, Joe, was called back to cast his vote. At first, Joe wrote Hofbeck's name. However, he was called back by the producers and was asked to change his vote. That’s when he wrote Coach’s name and also notified Coach of the situation. Tyson also spoke about the parchment paper, where Joe wrote another name, and how it looked.

Recalling the things that Joe told him, Coach shared, "He (Joe) said, ‘You know, Coach, I actually did not write your name down. And they made me go back in there. Do you remember that?’" He added, “And then they called him back in there. He started walking down and they called him back in there and I do vaguely remember something like this happening. Then he went back in there and scribbled my name down.” Before Joe revealed what went down, Coach felt “betrayed” by his actions. But soon he learned what had actually happened.

Listening to Coach, Tyson referred to this situation as a “twist” and told him, “Because essentially with this twist, a vote for Chrissy is a vote for Coach. I don’t know if it’s different. I don’t know if it’s a integrity loophole to…” Coach laughed and responded that Tyson was being “clever with his words.” Fans must remember the latest 'Survivor' 50 episode where Coach played his Shot In The Dark for himself and Hofbeck. However, he was unsuccessful. As a result, votes against him and Hofbeck would be counted.

With the most votes against the two, they were eliminated from the competition. They joined Dee, who was previously eliminated, and became the first Jury Member. Coach and Hofbeck became the second and third jury members as their torches were snuffed. After episode 8, 'Survivor' 50 has 11 remaining contestants. This includes Aubry Bracco, Christian Hubicki, Cirie Fields, Emily Flippen, Joseph 'Joe' Hunter, Jonathan Young, Ozzy Lusth, Rick Devens, Rizo Velovic, Stephenie Lagrossa Kendrick, and Tiffany Ervin. Additionally, the sneak peek for the upcoming 'Survivor' 50 Episode 9 features some intense moments. Kendrick is seen looking forward to taking her revenge, and Flippen and Hubicki seem as if they might be on the receiving end.
