Alexia and Todd had been in alleged financial trouble which could be the reason for the duo's split as their co-star Adriana de Moura claimed in an episode of the Bravo show.
According to the court documents obtained by US Weekly, Todd filed on Thursday, April 11, citing the marriage was "irretrievably broken." However, the exact reason for their divorce is yet to be revealed, Alexia admitted to being 'shocked' by the divorce filing.
The Bravo star took to her Instagram Stories and claimed, "I am shocked and heartbroken that Todd has chosen to dissolve our marriage." She added, "I will take comfort in the fact that my friends and family will be by my side supporting me during his difficult time."
The estranged couple had shown signs of marital woes while filming 'RHOM' Season 6. They had alleged financial issues and Todd clashed with Alexia's sons. Todd had a strained relationship with Alexia's eldest son, Peter. The 'RHOM' viewers witnessed the tension between the two, over how Peter took care of his special needs brother, Frankie, who suffered a traumatic brain injury following a car crash.

However, after Alexia and Todd moved into a rental apartment, the Bravo star's son, Frankie Rosello, had to find a new home quickly. The rumors further claimed that the couple had to pay month-to-month for their apartment. Alexia denied the financial woes rumors during Season 6 reunion.
At the reunion, she debunked multiple rumors about her and her husband, including they don't share a checking account and paid for their apartment month-to-month or in cash "like a drug dealer" as her BFF Marysol Patton said while seated at the same reunion couch.

The duo got engaged in 2019 and exchanged vows in December 2019 at the ritzy Eden Rock Hotel in St. Barts in 2021. The estranged couple had to postpone their original wedding plans following the COVID-19 pandemic and the death of Nepola’s mother.
However, Alexia and Todd made their on-screen debut during 'RHOM' Season 4. Alexia had gushed about her husband in the confessional and claimed, "After the two marriages that I've had, you know, I was super jaded. I'd literally been married to two guys that had been liars."
