Despite her desire to stay friends with 'RHOM's Adriana de Moura and Alexia Nepola, Julia Lemigova seemed to have to stand her ground

MIAMI, FLORIDA: Tensions have been building between Adriana de Moura and Alexia Nepola on 'The Real Housewives of Miami' Season 6. Julia Lemigova was caught in the crossfire, and now people are backing her for calling out her "messy" closest friend, Adriana.

Adriana appeared to bring up Alexia's money during the Mother's Day meal on the January 3 show.

"I feel that we shouldn’t be discussing Alexia’s situation, like, in front of everybody …," Julia said. "She’s our friends."

Adriana couldn't comprehend Julia's opposition to her.

Adriana told the cameras, "I have Julia’s back under any circumstance. And I don’t understand why she is more preoccupied with Alexia’s well-being and her newfound friendship than our old friendship."

Adriana attempted to justify herself by accusing Nicole Martin of enabling Ana to attend the meal.

Julia attempted to get Adriana to think about what would happen if the shoe was on the other foot, but Adriana refused.

"Don’t play devil’s advocate," she cautioned.

Adriana immediately rose up and stated her intention to leave, saying, "I'm not here for this."

Julia also expressed her displeasure with Nicole assuming the blame for Adriana's invitation in a confessional.

On X, fans wrote, "Adriana……Julia isn’t prioritizing her new friendship with Alexia over you. she’s unwilling to watch silently while you (her best friend) be manipulative throwing stones, hiding your hind and letting Nicole take the blame for what you orchestrated!" Another user chimed in, "I like the fact that Julia is calling Adriana out."

One user also tweeted, "Adriana, you are my girl, but you have to stand in it. Julia is right in this situation. You were being messy." A fourth user quipped, "Adriana realizing she can't have Julia as a minion anymore."

Some users also felt, "Honestly, I love Adriana but seeing Julia this season more integrated into the group makes me realise she's a great housewife when she's not part of a duo with Adriana." "Julia is a good friend by calling Adriana for inviting Ana for the soul purpose to come at Alexia. Dr. Nicole said it was ok but I don’t think she knew it was that deep of a cut between them. Adriana needs to take some accountability in this situation," wrote another.

During a separate interview with The Daily Dish, Julia spoke more about Adriana, saying that having this solid foundation of a relationship helped them manage anything this season of 'RHOM' threw at them.

Julia's connection with Adriana may have been jeopardized as she became closer to the other ladies in her social group. However, Julia stated that she did not believe Adriana was envious, as several of the other 'RHOM' ladies had suspected.

Julia claimed that "Adriana kind of felt responsible for me" because she brought her into the group.

If Adriana was jealous, Julia recalled, "it was a cute jealousy, which stopped right away."

Julia stated that being humorous with others is a natural aspect of her nature.

"I made a joke about it. Like, you know, I was saying, 'Come on, babe. I'm like a butterfly. But it's not, like, a flirtation; it's just, let me fly because I will always come back,' and she got it," Julia recounted, adding that she understood Adriana's point of view.

"You kind of want your friends for you."

The Daily Dish asked Julia where she got the concept for the "friendgagement."

"I'm a spontaneous person. [Wife] Martina [Navratilova] always says that I'm kind of a little bit unpredictable and spur-of-the-moment. I change my mind, and things kind of appear in my mind, and I think, 'Oh, I want this. This is cool.' And that's just what happened. We were shopping with the girls in the Hamptons, and I saw it was a symbolic thing. [There] was, like, a lot of different jewelry and things. And I was looking at it, and I saw two matching rings. One had a white stone, one had a black stone, kind of a yin-yang personality, like Adriana and I. We're so different yet similar," Julia added.

"So that kind of made me think of some nostalgic moments, special moments. And I thought, OK, so I got those rings. I hid them until the dinner. And then I just wanted to, you know, bring something positive. We had drama the night before—a fight, and I just thought, you know, let us set a good mood for the weekend."
