Paramount drops new trailer for ‘Transformers One’ featuring Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry and more
LOS ANGELES: CALIFORNIA: Paramount Pictures dropped the trailer of the upcoming science fiction action film 'Transformers One' which chronicles the origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron.
The eighth installment of the 'Transformers' film series, directed by Josh Cooley and written by Andrew Barrer, Gabriel Ferrari, and Bobby Rubio, is set for release in September 2024, as revealed in the trailer.
Oscar-winning director Josh Cooley, known for 'Toy Story 4', was tapped to helm the project in April 2020, following the film's announcement in August 2017. By April 2023, the voice cast and title had been finalized. Industrial Light & Magic will handle the animation for this highly anticipated film.
What is 'Transformers One' about?
'Transformers One' explores the story of Optimus Prime and Megatron before they become sworn enemies. It reveals both the characters to be brothers in arms before they would go on to lead factions of Autobots and Decepticons. Optimus Prime is Orion Pax and Megatron is D-16 in the origin story.
