'Toy Story 4' has bagged the Oscar for Best Animated Feature at the 92nd Academy Awards ceremony held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, on February 9. The Disney-Pixar film has beaten 'Klaus', 'Missing Link', 'How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World' and 'I Lost My Body' to win the prestigious award.

The win makes the 'Toy Story' franchise the first to win two Oscars in the animated feature category. 'Toy Story 4' was also nominated for a Golden Globe and two BAFTAs. The Oscar was presented by Mindy Kaling.

The award was picked up by director Josh Cooley and producers Mark Nielsen and Jonas Rivera. Cooley previously earned a nomination for the screenplay for Pixar's 'Inside Out' and 'Toy Story 4' marks his solo feature directorial debut.

The trio said they were "proud to be among" the list of great movies that have been nominated this year and that they take great pride in the fact that they get to make family films. They also dedicated the win to their families and thanked the fans who grew up with the 'Toy Story' franchise.

'Toy Story 4' continues the story of Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) and their gang of fellow toys as they go on a road trip with friends old and new.

The film's cast includes Hanks, Allen, Annie Potts, Tony Hale, Keegan-Michael Key, Madeleine McGraw, Christina Hendricks, Jordan Peele, Keanu Reeves, Ally Maki, and Joan Cusack.

'Toy Story 4' was released in theaters on June 21, 2019.
